From 2007 – 10 Plymouth Heritage Praxis led staff and students from Plymouth and the Historic Preservation Program, University of Pennyslvania, in a partnership project with Cornwall County Council and Plymouth City Council. The project investigated the designed landscape and garden houses at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, Cornwall. Mount Edgcumbe is one of Britain’s most important historic gardens and only maritime Georgian landscape garden; and yet, as a municipal park it is little known and has received little attention from historians or historic preservation professionals.
