Plymouth Heritage Praxis’ first project was a two-year partnership, 20005 – 6, with the Strawberry Hill Trust and the Historic Preservation Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Funded by the Kress Foundation, staff and students carried out detailed physical and archival investigations of the historic interiors and records at Strawberry Hill leading to new evidence on how, when and why Horace Walpole’s ‘little gothic castle’ was built.
